Strengthening Dechra’s Leadership for a Customer-Centric Future

24 June 2025

Dechra is pleased to announce key appointments to our Senior Executive Team. These changes represent a significant milestone in Dechra’s journey, reinforcing our commitment to customer-centric growth, operational excellence, and strategic alignment across our global business.

Sue Egstrand has joined Dechra in a newly created dual role as President, Europe and International and Chief Commercial Officer. She brings a wealth of experience from companies such as Reckitt, GSK, and Pfizer, and her leadership will be instrumental in strengthening our commercial strategy and customer experience.

She will lead our commercial organisation across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, Latin America and Asia-Pacific, while also driving global commercial excellence. Sue will work in close partnership with Roddy Webster, Managing Director for Europe, who has extensive knowledge of the animal health industry through various commercial positions in the pharmaceutical industry, and as a veterinarian.

Sue said: “I am delighted to join Dechra at such an exciting time. The company’s commitment to customer-focused growth and commerical excellence presents an exciting opportunity to contribute my experience. I strongly believe in Dechra’s mission and look forward to what lies ahead.”

Since joining Dechra last year, Laura Olsen has played a key role in strengthening our global marketing capabilities by establishing the Global Marketing and Technical Excellence team. Laura has now been appointed Chief Marketing Officer, while continuing in her role as President of Dechra North America. With over 25 years of leadership experience in both animal and human health—including senior positions at Zoetis, Pfizer, and Novartis—Laura will lead our global marketing strategy in close collaboration with Kacey Carano, Senior Vice President of Global Marketing and Technical Excellence. Together, they will focus on enhancing brand visibility, deepening customer engagement, and driving successful product launches.

We’re also pleased to announce that Kacey has been appointed to the Senior Executive Team. Since joining Dechra in April, she has brought nearly two decades of experience in animal health—including leadership roles at Zoetis and Ceva. Her expertise will help shape Dechra’s global marketing strategy and drive alignment with regional marketing teams.

Jonny Armstrong, Vice President, Global Corporate Communications, who joined Dechra in 2022, has also been promoted to Dechra’s Senior Executive Team. A strategic communications expert, he will lead internal and external messaging and support consistent, transparent communication aligned with Dechra’s goals.

Jesper Nordengaard, CEO of Dechra, said, "I’m thrilled about the recent leadership appointments and expanded roles. These changes further strengthen our ability to provide veterinary professionals with the right solutions and support, enabling them to improve the lives of animals and their owners. I look forward to working closely with all members of the new team over the coming years.”
