Dechra Employees Raise $17,000 In Our One More Step for Not One More Vet Challenge

19 June 2025

As part of Dechra’s ongoing commitment to supporting the wellbeing of veterinary professionals, employees from around the world came together this May for the third global annual One More Step for Not One More Vet campaign.

This year’s effort raised nearly $17,000 USD (£12,500 GBP) for Not One More Vet (NOMV), a non-profit dedicated to suicide prevention and mental health in the veterinary community. The initiative forms part of NOMV’s global Race Around the World event—an annual challenge that encourages participants to get active in support of a vital cause.

Dechra saw a 23% increase in participation, with 924 employees from 26 countries logging a combined total of nearly 750,000 minutes of physical activity—the equivalent of running around the earth nearly three times or exercising non-stop for over a year and five months. This collective effort led to a 26% increase in donations compared to last year.

“As a company that serves the veterinary profession, this cause hits close to home,” said Kate Anatone, VP of Human Resources at Dechra US. “We’re incredibly proud of our team’s enthusiasm and commitment. The growth of this initiative each year is a testament to how deeply NOMV’s mission resonates with our employees.”

Dechra is an official sponsor of NOMV’s Race Around the World, covering registration fees for all participating employees to ensure widespread engagement. The event not only raised vital funds but also encouraged colleagues to embrace healthier lifestyles and connect through a shared purpose.
