Dechra announces new aseptic manufacturing facility in New Jersey life sciences corridor

Dechra, a global leader in veterinary specialty care, today announced its plan to invest in a manufacturing facility in East Windsor, New Jersey, creating over 100 new full-time jobs in the region over the next decade. Located in a life science, pharmaceutical and high-tech corridor, the facility will support small molecule and biologics aseptic manufacturing. This investment is part of Dechra’s long-term strategy to strengthen manufacturing capabilities and enhance supply chain resilience to ultimately better serve people caring for animals.

“Our manufacturing and supply chain capabilities must evolve alongside the business to sustain momentum on our growth journey.” said Ian MacKellar, Chief Operating Officer, Dechra. “The East Windsor facility represents a strategic investment in the capacity, technologies and capabilities required to do just that.”

Completed in 2019, the facility was designed to support aseptic manufacturing, one of the most complex and highly regulated pharmaceutical environments. It will create a wide range of full-time roles, across STEM fields and advanced manufacturing disciplines.

Dechra is currently completing readiness activities and facility upgrades to ensure quality and compliance with global requirements. The company expects the facility to be fully operational in 2028.
